Sebastian, the very cute squid, is crocheted from a realistic pattern… if squids had massive brains and were members of Mensa (which of course Sebastian is although apparently he’s too modest to mention it). His body is styled from a blue marl yarn which becomes light green atop his large brainy head. His eyes are black and white yarn and although he is not a toy, he is super-soft with no hard parts or pieces that could be pulled off. Sebastian measures 33cm (13 inches) from the top of his cranium to the bottom of his tippy toe tentacles.

Sebastian has been created by guest designer “The Wool Witch” who lives and works in Whitby. She’s quite a secretive creature and only the privileged few have ever seen her work her magic or been gifted with her wondrous woolly works of art.

Sebastian says, “Greetings. I’m a member of Mensa and I’m looking for someone – preferably intelligent – to adopt me. Although I’m a sea creature by nature, I’m very well house-trained and am happy to live indoors. It’s true that I prefer chives to parsley but all fresh herbs are appealing to me. That’s probably because I’m a member of Mensa.”
