This unique OOAK necklace is made from semi-precious stones, a hand-cast resin sea urchin and sterling silver. It is designed to sit around the collarbone to do justice to the contents of the piece. It has three fully soldered sterling silver jump rings connected by sterling silver and gemstone extenders, providing a range of lengths from 14½ to 17½ inches (37 to 44½ cm). The last jump ring is finished with a gemstone bead.

The centrepiece of this necklace is a unique resin sea urchin test. The original was found by myself when I lived on the Isle of Mull. After a very low tide, I discovered many tiny green urchins on the shore of Loch Scridain. Sea urchin shells are made of five pieces. Five is the number of adaptation, energy and independence, manifesting thought through action and will. The spines represent a strong spirit and wisdom and sea urchin energy encourages you to search your hidden depths, revealing information you may have hidden, in order to make yourself whole. This task might not be easy but it will be worth it.

The very dark blue urchin is complemented by the following gemstones: amethyst, iolite and haematite. These stones may help you to trust your instincts and provide the courage, strength, guidance and hope you might need during difficult times. They can bring peace, calm, grounding and stability while your self-awareness sharpens leading to creative and structured thinking.
