These quirky earrings are made from semi-precious stones, a pair of hand-cast resin turritella shells and sterling silver. The earrings are designed to almost match and can be worn as a pair or as statement individual pieces. The drop below the earwire is 3½ inches (8.5cm). Resin is beautifully light and this pair of unusual earrings weigh just 10.32g between them (average 5.16g each).
The original turritella shells were gifted to me from a friend’s collection when I lived in Whitby. The off-white sparkly shells have been complemented by opalite beads. Opalite is a synthetic stone which is great for serious-minded wearers, reminding them that it’s okay to be light-hearted and optimistic. It’s good for clear thinking, meditation and new beginnings. Opalite offers purity, openness, healing and can assist with transitions. Every journey has a start and this cheerful stone is there for your first steps.
These earrings come in a gift box with the descriptive enclosure photographed which tells the new owner of this unique jewellery all about its qualities. A complementary polishing cloth is also included.
