This stunning necklace is made from semi-precious stones, a hand-cast resin conker, some superior quality Czech glass rondelle beads and sterling silver. It is designed to sit around the collarbone to do justice to the unique contents of the piece. It has a sterling silver extender chain, finished with a gemstone bead, and measures from 15¾ inches to 18½ inches (40 to 47 cm).
The centrepiece is a fabulous resin conker in a bronze-brown colour encased in a green shell with gold and teal highlights. The original conker was found by myself during an autumnal walk with my dog through the lovely Saltburn Valley Gardens, close to where I now live. The realistic (but slightly more glamorous) coloured conker is teamed up with the following gemstones: aventurine, bronzite, emeralds, moss agate, smoky quartz, tektite and tiger’s eye.
