November has two most commonly recognised birthstones.
Citrine is my favourite.
The other November birthstone is topaz. Citrine, with its yellow, sunshine vibe, is known as “the stone of success” and brings abundance, happiness and optimism. It is a generous stone in that it encourages you to share what you have yet it will help you to hold onto your wealth. Just as autumn is creeping towards winter, with its chillier days, citrine comes into its own to provide positivity and cheer.
Citrine is a powerful cleanser and regenerator and is said to reduce anxiety, fear and depression. It can banish negativity and does not keep hold of negative energy therefore does not require its own cleansing. It can energise the soul and is capable of gentle, yet powerful healing.
Citrine can range in colour from very pale, transparent yellow, to deep orange and through to shades of golden brown.
Naturally occurring citrine forms when either amethyst or smoky quartz is heated by Mother Nature. It can, of course, be created by manmade heat too. Is it important to know whether your citrine is natural or heat treated? I think not, personally. The intent and energy are the same. Yellow is an incredibly happy colour so it’s no surprise that wearing or owning citrine can increase your self-esteem and bring joy into your life. Just holding a piece can lift your spirits and focus your mind.
In the jewellery pictured, citrine has been combined with other joyful energies such as sunstone and goldstone as well as some pinks which open the heart to all kinds of unconditional love (including self-love). Citrine and the other gems in the “Invite Sunshine Into Your Life” and “Transformation” necklaces pictured encourage you to have a cheerful outlook and to invite fun and spontaneity into your life. There’s good luck, good fortune and abundance of all kinds to be had. At the very least, you can expect your enjoyment of life to be restored… and you might even attract a soulmate.
